GEM*Edges Field Trip 2010

Yukon Geological Survey and Geological Survey of Canada are planning a 4 day field trip to provide an overview of some of the highlights of recent mapping under the Geo-mapping for Energy and Minerals program.  Field trip leaders are Don Murphy and Steve Israel.

The field trip will run from August 30 to September 2 and will provide an opportunity to examine geology between Haines Junction and Beaver Creek with an emphasis on mineral potential.  The itinerary will include the following (a more detailed itinerary will be available shortly):

The cost of the trip will be $1000 per person based on double occupancy.  Trip costs include all in-Yukon travel, and meals and accomodation during the trip.  Participants are responsible for getting to/from Whitehorse and accomodation and meals while in Whitehorse. 

Space is limited to 15 participants, with preference going to representatives of the mineral exploration industry.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Don Murphy at don.murphy@gov.yk.ca.
