Project Lead: David Moynihan

A 1:50,000-scale mapping project in the Frances Lake area (105H) started during the summer of 2014 and will continue for several years. The area was previously mapped at a scale of 1:250,000 by the GSC in the 1960’s. The mapping project will initially be focused on the upper Hyland River area, adjacent to the Nahanni Range road. This area is prospective for orogenic (e.g. 3-Ace) and intrusion-related (e.g. Justin) gold, as well as W-skarn mineralization.
