Eagle Plain Well Assessment

| Whitehorse Trough Field Studies | Upper Paleozoic Shale Project | Eagle Plain Well Assessment | Liard Basin Shale Study | Archival Document Scanning |

In 2012, the Yukon Geological Survey awarded a contract to Petrel-Robertston Consulting Ltd., of Calgary, to initiate a conventional reservoir petrophysical property assessment for 31 oil and gas exploration wells in Eagle plain exploration region of northern Yukon Territory. Using geophysical properties obtained from wellbore logging, the study derived the lithology, porosity, permeability, water saturation, and shale volume for 28 subsurface geological formations/members. From these derived properties, the main objective of the study was to highlight particular geological formations in Eagle plain that have the potential of hosting conventional natural gas and/or oil.
The results and an accompanying report are forthcoming.
