Project Leader: Maurice Colpron

Mapping of the Glenlyon area, southwest of Tintina fault and the Glenlyon batholith, was conducted between 1998 and 2002. Work in this area focused primarily on establishing the stratigraphic and tectonic framework of the Yukon-Tanana terrane and Paleozoic rocks of Quesnellia west of the Big Salmon fault. This project was a contribution to the Ancient Pacific Margin NATMAP program – a collaboration between GSC, BC Geological Survey, YGS and USGS – and benefited also from funding from NRCan’s Targeted Geoscience Initiative (TGI 1, Integrated geoscience mapping for Yukon: Ancient Pacific Margin NATMAP enhancement).
