July 8, 2007: Fieldtrip across the Northern Canadian Cordillera (Sep. 19-23, 2007)

This coming September, Maurice Colpron (YGS), JoAnne Nelson (BCGS) and Steve Israel (YGS) will be leading a geological fieldtrip across the accreted terranes of the northern Canadian Cordillera, between Cassiar, B.C., and Kluane Lake, Yukon. It will be run in conjunction with the Ores & Orogenesis (Circum-Pacific Tectonics, Geologic Evolution, and Ore Deposits) conference organized by the Arizona Geological Society (AGS) in Tucson, Arizona. At this point, there are still a number of seats available on the fieldtrip and the AGS has decided to open registration to those who are not planning to attend (and register for) the conference.

If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, contact Bob Cummings, Fieldtrips Chair (Ph. 520-743-0014), to obtain a symposium registration waiver code. Registration for the fieldtrip (#15) is through the Ores & Orogenesis website. For further information about the fieldtrip, contact Maurice Colpron (Ph. 867-667-8235).
